Learn the art of 3 Dimensional Mixing! How do we create space for all of the tracks in our music production? The trick is to make use of ALL THREE DIMENSIONS. It’s easy to pan something left or right but, did you know you can “pan” a sound up and down? You can also make a track sound near of far. The only way you will be able to find a space for everything in your mix is to strategize where each element should live in your three dimensional soundscape.
As I Described in the show, my buddy Joe Gilder has put together an AWESOME educational experience that I’ve had the pleasure to participate in. He has put together a 10 week course on mixing. He walks you step by step through the entire process he went through to mix his latest record, “Out Of Indiana”. I’ve found this to be the best way to learn the art of mixing.
