Hello everyone!
I’m new to this forum as well and thought to introduce myself. I’m Gabriela, I’m originally from Cluj-Napoca (Transylvania) Romania, but currently I live in Athens Greece.
I’m new to music production, just started learning Ableton Live a few months back, however I’ve been playing the piano ever since I was little.
Greetings to everyone!
Welcome aboard! We are here to help. Please feel free to share links to your work and post any questions you may have. I try to check these forums daily and will help when I can 🙂
Hi Gabriela, good to meet you.
great Dezz, thanks a lot. Dave, nice to meet you too. 🙂
Nice to meet you Gabriela.
nice to meet you too Thomas.
It’s nice to start seeing some conversation in here! Let’s keep it rolling. I’m looking forward to hearing what everyone has been working on. 🙂
I’m currently working on my 3rd song ever in Ableton live. I’m doing a remix for an edm song, and I’m at the mixing stage. Hence this course, came to me right on time. After I finish mixing it and mastering it, I’ll post a link here so that you give me some advice if you have time. thank you!
I am currently on week six of the mix lessons classes. I want to learn as much as I can so I can use this knowledge on my own music.
Awesome! I’m gonna start doing some live Q&A streams in the facebook community. Feel free to post questions. Perhaps I’ll even start a new thread for it.
nice Thomas! @Dezz, I think that’s a good idea. facebook is much more accessible.
Ok cool. So fire away with questions. I’ll start collecting them and answering them in the near future.
ok I have a question. What do you think is the best approach to take when confronted with a situation in which the performer is trying to dictate the mixing process, but really has no experience mixing?
That can be annoying! I don’t typically let the artist in the room while I’m mixing for those very reasons. AFTER I’ve got a decent mix together THEN I let them hear it and give me notes on things they may want adjusted.
so… here is my third song ever in Ableton Live. it’s a remix of Galantis – Hunter if you have time pls check it out. it’s still private because I haven’t mastered it yet (still need to learn how to do that). so if you have time, pls let me know what you think. I will also put the link to the original below. thank you!

I am especially enjoying the latest episode which analyzes each of the elements in the mix. Gonna give it another listen on mys studio monitors (as opposed to in my car) to really hear what's going on in the mix. Well done!
A terrific podcast. Educational and informative. Presented in an easy to follow and understandable way. Listen & learn! Great job Dezz.
This is truly the best way to learn all ins and outs of mixing. Dezz knows how to explain things in a way anybody can understand. This clear way of explaining convinced me to sign up for the Mixlessons online course! Thanks Dezz! Keep up the good work!
I love this podcast. Always interesting topics and highly thought-provoking. It's helped me to become a better producer and audio mixer. Thanks, Dezz!! You rock!!
I found Dezz on you tube and just fell into a whole new world of learning. And it led me to this techmuze podcast, which i must add is short sweet and really gets you thinking about a number of topics.but it doesn't end there. Techmuze.ca also connects you to a community of like minded others sharing ideas on our lovely art form. I really feel like any one could pick up some nice info from dezz and everything he's put together . Shout out to dezz, what's up bro
